Susan Curtis joined the MVMA as Executive Director in January of 2010.  

A graduate of Boston College, Susan has spent her entire career in business administration and management.  She spent the first nine years of her professional career working for a sports representation firm in Boston.  During the next five years of her career, Susan managed a local speakers bureau specializing in motivational speakers (specifically sports personalities).  In 1999 she joined Reebok International Ltd. and spent eight years manging the operations and logisitics for the Reebok Human Rights Award Program and the conception and launching of the Reebok International Ltd. Global Corporate Citizenship Program.  This dream job brought Susan face to face with a who's who Board of Directors (President Jimmy Carter, Peter Gabriel, Rose Styron, Anthony Romero, Paul Fireman, Rafer Johnson, Kerry Kennedy and many more), celebrities from arts and entertainment and more than 30 internationally recognized human rights activists, all of whom made a life changing impact on Susan.  Following Reebok, Susan decided to follow her passion and continue on the path of non-profit work.  She next managed the Association of Fundraising Professionals, The American Marketing Association and the New England Development Research Association here in Massachusetts, a perfect precursor for her position with the MVMA.

In her time away from work, Susan spends her life with her husband, Fred, and her dog, Peabody.  Together (Sue and Fred) are doing their best to see as much of the world as they can, finish all the construction projects at their home and, hopefully, learn to relax a little bit and enjoy their life together.

Assistant Director Marilyn Macleod has been with the Association since 1986. Marilyn works Monday through Thursday.
