MVMA is the only organization whose primary mission is to represent and assist veterinarians in Massachusetts. Click here for directions to our office.
Since its founding as the Massachusetts Veterinary Association in 1887, MVMA and its members have provided “professional caring for the health and welfare of animals and society.” Members hail from all aspects of the profession—clinical practitioners, academics, researchers, and institutional veterinarians—and from all stages of their careers, graduation through retirement. Through MVMA, our over 1,000 members work together for the common good of veterinary medicine, while achieving personal and professional growth.
The MassVet News, published nine times a year, informs members about the Association’s activities with regular columns by the President and Executive Director, periodic reports from committees, news from the veterinary world and our members, and more. The MassVet News is the primary resource for employment leads for veterinarians settling in Massachusetts. Our online Job Bank, launched in January 2006, promises to become a must-visit resource for job-seekers.
MVMA members have exclusive access to a wide variety of programs proven to save money, both for their workplaces and them personally. MVMA also provides important services for members. Find out more before you join.
