This practically-oriented course is intended to help vets from mixed or equine practice to learn how to differentiate between the above conditions, based on clinical presentation, blood work and other diagnostic aids. Recent publications have shed new light on which blood tests are most reliable and how the generated results should be interpreted. New developments in therapy of Equine Metabolic Syndrome, Cushings and obesity containing practical pointers will also be discussed in detail with the panel of experts. Foot assessment and farriery options for the laminitic foot will furthermore be covered and trained on foot specimens and live horses.
