Small Animal Respiratory Medicine (9 CE)

An appreciation of respiratory physiology enables the astute clinician to better interpret history and clinical signs in their patients. As with many body systems, a complete history and thorough examination form the basis of diagnostic test selection and options will be reviewed. Upper and lower airway diseases will be systematically reviewed to enable participants to hone their skills in recognizing, diagnosing, and treating these problems. Selected upper and lower airway cases will be presented and discussed, allowing the group to arrive at the best solution for the case at hand and to apply in their practice in the future
Exotics: Turtles & Pet Pigs (9 CE)
Charles Innis, VMD, DABVP (RA) & Arlen Wilbers, DVM
On Friday afternoon Dr. Innis will cover medical and surgical management of turtles, providing an overview of physical exam, anatomy, biology, husbandry, diagnostics, diseases, anesthesia, therapeutics, and surgery. On Saturday Dr. Wilbers will cover handling pet pigs as patients, including routine care and common problems, anesthesia and restraint, and common surgeries.

Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of this year's winners. The evening will begin with sunset cocktails overlooking beautiful Old Silver Beach followed by an intimate dinner and the presentation of awards. The night will end with dessert and aperitifs. The buffet menu will include Cape Cod clam chowder, herb-crusted cod, roasted chicken, and penne pasta primavera. Seating is limited and filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Family, friends, and guests are welcome to attend! Attendance at the CE event is not required to attend the dinner.
