Corneal Ulceration in Dogs and Cats

 CE Credits = 2

Dogs and cats frequently present to veterinarians with corneal ulcers. The first part of this lecture will cover diagnostic techniques that will allow the practitioner to diagnose corneal ulceration, and to determine if there is an underlying cause that needs to be addressed. The second half will cover treatment for simple corneal ulcers, as well as ulcers caused by causes such as dry eye, anatomic problems, and ulcers complicated by secondary bacterial infections.
