SYNOPSIS OF THE MUSCLE HEALTH AND URSOLIC ACID PRESENTATION:
Healthcare professionals both human and veterinary have long grappled with muscle atrophy in their patients. Whether through sarcopenia, disuse, or cachexia, muscle loss is a significant problem. Particularly for the veterinary realm, few options are available to manage this multifactorial condition. This has changed with the harnessing of ursolic acid, a natural, plant-based compound found to have profound benefits across a wide spectrum of biological pathways. This engaging one health presentation provides insightful background information on muscle atrophy and details how ursolic acid can now be used to combat this challenging condition and positively support muscle health in our patients.
We are thrilled to announce that the MVMA’s Central MA VMA group will start to get together. This is a great opportunity to get together with colleagues - reconnecting with old friends and meeting the newer vets in the area.
This is just one of the many benefits of MVMA membership. MVMA offers weekly email alerts, a bi-monthly newsletter, state advocacy, social and CE opportunities, and much more! Please encourage your colleagues who are not currently MVMA members to join. If you are a practice owner, please consider offering MVMA membership as an employee benefit, if you are able.
