Join us for FREE dinner and 1 unit of CE hosted by the Metro Boston VMA!

Hathaway Fiocchi, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), will present a 1 hour presentation on GI disease in the dog. This lecture reviews the different forms of gastrointestinal disease that are common in canine patients and a step-by-step approach to working them up. This lecture will focus on the use of therapeutic trials as part of the diagnostic workup and managing these cases over an extended period of time.

Attendance is free but attendees must be members of the MVMA.

Hathaway Fiocchi, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM)

Dr. Fiocchi received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College in 2004 and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. While completing her clinical training at Tufts University, Dr. Fiocchi developed a love for small animal internal medicine and living in beautiful Massachusetts. Following veterinary school, Dr. Fiocchi completed a small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT and a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. During her residency, Dr. Fiocchi was trained in all aspects of internal medicine including hemodialysis and endoscopy. During her training, Dr. Fiocchi’s research focused on the management of chronic kidney disease and she continues to focus on kidney disease in the continuing education lectures that she gives.

Upon completing her residency in 2016, Dr. Fiocchi moved back to Massachusetts and worked as an internist in the referral setting until fall of 2020 when she joined MOVES as a mobile internist. Dr. Fiocchi enjoys all aspects of internal medicine and is invested in enabling pet owners to provide the best care possible for their pets by helping them understand the disease process at play. When not at work Dr. Fiocchi is busy with her family on their small farm raising sheep and honey bees.
