Dr. Ron Vin graduated from the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1996 and completed advanced postgraduate training at Rochester Equine/Myhre Equine Clinic and Tufts University. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Large Animal).
Dr. Vin is the founder of Vin Equine Services (formerly Equine Diagnostics) and served as the Internal Medicine Specialist at Myhre Equine Clinic for the past 17 years. He also spent six years as an equine internal medicine consultant with IDEXX Laboratories, providing diagnostic consultation to veterinarians throughout North America, including Canada, on complex medical cases.
His clinical interests include emergency and critical care, infectious diseases, cardiology, neurology, gastrointestinal and respiratory disorders, and diagnostic ultrasonography. He has lectured internationally and authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed veterinary journals.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Vin enjoys spending time with his family, reading, CrossFit, and horseback riding.
