Western MA VMA - Managing Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy in Feline Patients

Dr. Lillian Rogers will present on a new HCM medication for cats. Introducing the first FDA conditionally approved once-weekly drug for the management of ventricular hypertrophy in cats with subclinical hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). This first in-class drug is now available to manage progressive left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy in cats with subclinical HCM. Now you have a reason to screen to intervene and manage subclinical HCM in your feline patients. We will outline the pathophysiology of HCM and review the indications for Felycin-CA1.

Lillian Rogers, BVMS
Dr. Rogers is a New England native, growing up and now living in New Hampshire. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Vermont, then studying Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. After practicing for five years in emergency and urgent care between Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Dr. Rogers shifted her focus to education and industry. She joined PRN Pharmacal in July 2025 as their Professional Services Veterinarian in the Northeast, excited to be working more directly with veterinarians.
