Professional Bio
Erin is the Director of Veterinary Medicine and Community Initiatives and part of the MSPCA Animal Protection Division's leadership team. She previously held senior leadership roles at the Animal Rescue League of Boston and the ASPCA. After graduating from Tufts University’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, Erin worked in general practice before shifting her career toward shelter and community medicine. She is a Certified Animal Welfare Administrator and is board certified in Shelter Medicine through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She serves as adjunct faculty at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, is an author and co-editor of the second edition of the ASV Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters, and is a past president of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians.
