Professional Bio

Dr. Lisa Corti is a board-certified surgeon who graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and completed her Small Animal Surgery Residency at Iowa State University in 2000. She became certified as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner in 2005 and is also certified in the PennHip radiographic method to diagnose hip dysplasia and in stem cell therapies with VetStem BioPharma. She most recently became a Fear Free Certified Practitioner in 2020 and continues to promote the Fear Free method of communicating with dogs and cats. After working for almost three decades in private specialty emergency referral practices, Dr. Corti started her mobile surgery business, North Shore Veterinary Surgery, in 2018, based out of Andover, MA. She also is an adjunct instructor at North Shore Community College in Danvers, MA in the Veterinary Technology Program, and writes and reviews articles for Clinician’s Brief. She has published papers and lectured on various subjects relating to rehabilitation, pain management, analgesia and anesthesia, surgery, and osteoarthritis, and is passionate about the treatment of acute and chronic pain in cats and dogs. She lives with her husband, two children, two cats, and dog and is a runner and OCR (obstacle course race) athlete.
