Continuing Education

The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Veterinary Medicine has the following policy guidelines regarding Continuing Education Credits. There are no changes due to COVID-19 but all of your CE can be done online.

What is required?
Licensed Veterinarians are required to complete a minimum of 15 Continuing Education Credits per calendar year to renew their license.

Minimum of 9 CE credits must be INTERACTIVE.
To be accepted, the following criteria must be met:
*The instruction must occur in real time (live).
*There is required interaction between the licensee and the instructor.

This can include in-person conferences, interactive conferences, webinars or online workshops as long as they meet requirements above.

Maximum of 6 can be NON-INTERACTIVE.
This can include home study and pre-recorded webinars.

Has the Board of Registration of Veterinary Medicine relaxed guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

At this time the board has not changed or amended any requirements for CE.
