Survey of oclacitinib maleate (Apoquel) in equine patients
Date postedAugust 18, 2026
News,
We are conducting a study to better understand veterinary practitioners' prescribing practices and experiences using oclacitinib maleate (Apoquel) in equine patients.
Although oclacitinib is sometimes prescribed off-label in large animal species, limited published information exists regarding its long-term safety, efficacy, dosing, and prescribing practices in equids.
We are seeking veterinarians who have prescribed or used oclacitinib in equine patients to complete a brief questionnaire. The questionnaire asks about clinical indications, dosing practices, treatment duration, perceived efficacy, and observed adverse effects.
The questionnaire takes approximately 5–10 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary. Your responses will contribute to a better understanding of the clinical use of oclacitinib in equine medicine and may help identify areas for future research.

We greatly appreciate your time and participation. Please feel free to share this questionnaire with colleagues who have experience using oclacitinib in equine patients.
