Unique opportunity to start your own clinic and work with students

News,

The Essex North Shore Agricultural and Technical School District seeks proposals from qualified veterinary service providers to use the clinic space and operate their business in return for hands-on training experience for students. This partnership is designed to both deliver high-quality veterinary services to the community and provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for students pursuing careers in animal health and veterinary medicine.

The clinic consists of 5700 sq ft, with a reception and waiting area, 3 exam rooms, 2 surgical rooms, an X-ray facility, a laboratory area, a laundry facility, a common work area, 3 restrooms, a conference room, and parking spaces for clients. The clinic includes multiple pieces of state-of-the-art equipment. The clinic is adjacent to two classrooms for additional student engagement, an educational pet-grooming facility, a dog-training facility, and a small exotic animal vivarium.

The veterinarian is responsible for all operational costs, including but not limited to staff salaries, benefits, clinic supplies and medications, telephone expenses, and scheduled maintenance of equipment. The District will cover the cost of all utilities, property maintenance, cleaning services, and equipment.

There is a site visit scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 4:30pm for anyone interested in seeing the space and equipment. The tentative opening date is September 1, 2026.

The initial lease term is 3-years with a possibility of extending long-term. Proposals are due Monday, May 4, 2026 and should include monthly/yearly lease price being offered.
